Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses.

Valhalla Wilderness Society The Valhalla Wilderness Society was founded in 1975, in the small village of New Denver, British Columbia, Canada. It started as a group of local residents who wanted to save the forested slopes of the Valhalla Range in southeastern B.C. from logging.

Amnesty International - Vernon, BC Chapter The Vernon group of Amnesty meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month (except July & August) at 7pm at the Schubert Centre (3505-30th Avenue) in Vernon.
We get together to write letters and discuss current events and Amnesty campaigns. Newcomers are always welcome!

We are a charitable organization dedicated to the health and vitality of the earth through the preservation and promotion of heritage seeds. We are committed to maintaining, evaluating and keeping records for all the edible, medicinal and useful crops that can be grown in Canada. We are a learning centre and network encouraging local food and seed production.
