For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by rocks. As a young lad I would walk shorelines, creeks and country roads with my eyes glued to the ground. By the time I got home, I usually had pockets full of "special" stones. Summer holidays spent in the Rockies, visiting Jasper, Banff or the Okanagan Valley offered an overwhelming new assortment of collectables.

Now, decades later, the only thing that has changed is the size of my pockets. I now live in the mountains, and I can collect rocks with a truck, hammer and pry bar. I shop online and, perhaps best of all, I buy from wholesalers and suppliers from around the world. Ok, a lot has changed. One thing that has not changed is my love of rocks, minerals and crystals.

Early on I discovered that some stones had a different feel. I'm not talking about the weight, or surface texture (that goes without saying), but I discovered a tangible energy coming from some stones. Over the years, through experimentation and organized study I learned to work with stones and crystals; to, in fact harness and focus these energies to affect my own personal energy patterns and those around me.

My "discovery" was nothing new. Since the earliest days of civilization people have recognized the power inherent in special stones. Wizards, Shaman, Magicians, and Priests have carved stones into images of power which aid in the hunt or the harvest. They make images of their Gods. They rely on the power of crystals and minerals to ensure fertility, ease childbirth and improve health. Sparkling gemstones have been worn as amulets to protect against supernatural forces and aggressive neighbors.

In modern times crystals and minerals are used in magic to affect both internal and external changes. Rose quartz is worn to attract love; Peridot for wealth. Carnelian gives courage while Amethyst alleviates tension. Crystal balls gaze beyond and wands focus power.
Today, with literally thousands of years of history and lore to draw on, millions are discovering the power and the joy of working with stones.

The crystals and minerals we work with were formed deep in the Earth over millions of years. With the Earth being a living, integral part of the vast energy network of the solar system, these crystals, these gifts are actual manifestations of the divine creative energy of our reality.

Stones are magical batteries that contain and concentrate the Earth's energies. Some stones reflect the energy of the sun, the moon and the other planets in our solar system. Some are able to focus energy from the stars and from the Gods.
