A Double-Terminated (DT) Crystal is easily recognised as one that exhibits terminations or points on both ends of the crystal. Found in individual or cluster formations, these wonderful formations are capable of generating natural harmonious energy internally.

This formation provides a multi-functional tool; energy moves outward and/or inwards concurrently. They have the capacity to draw or transmit energy through both ends. They help to dissolve blockages that prevent the proper flow of energy through the body.

Double-Terminated crystals are often worn as protection amulets, because of their ability to enhance and strengthen the aura, thus providing a "first line of defence" for the immune system. This has been described as "maintaining one's energy shield," by Melody, author of the well known and much used "Love is in the Earth" series of books.

Because of this the crystal has the unique ability to focus and direct metaphysical energies from both ends making them ideal in transferring energy from one person to another, as in crystal healing.

Double Terminated Crystals are also excellent for use in meditation.They exude a sense of personal unity and are ideal to use with people who are mentally or emotionally stressed or otherwise unbalanced. By simply holding a Double Terminated Crystal in each hand for even five minutes, it will calm and relax one into a state of greater mental and emotional stability.

Crystal wands are often made of double terminated crystals. In fact many "wands" are nothing more than long double terminated crystals.

They can be held over the chakra points and rotated in a clockwise direction to clear and open the centers. Choose a DT Amethyst to use over the third eye and a DT Citrine over the navel. DT Crystals are ideal to place in between the chakras during crystal healing layouts to integrate and harmonize the energy centers and to enhance the flow of energy between Chakra centres.

Double Terminated crystals are also wonderful to use on points under the eyes and on the face where stress lines appear. This type of New Age facelift can reverse the aging process as it releases the stress that creates it and rejuvenates the sensitive tissues of the face.

DTs are excellent for astral projection and for dreaming - by placing them under your pillow at night and they can increase and intensify the dream state.
