WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a natural, safe method of healing and self improvement. The word means Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki is spiritual in nature, but is not tied to any religion.
A Reiki Practitioner serves as a channel to direct this Divine Universal Life Force Energy through their body and hands to correct physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances in the recipient. This balance then allows a state of healing.
HOW CAN I USE REIKI?
Reiki helps both the practitioner and the recipient by reducing stress, removing energetic blockages and balancing subtle energies in the body. It does this whether you "believe" in it or not. Reiki simply IS healing energy.
Reiki has the power to create and enhance healing in anyone. It can not interfere or adversely react with any other form of therapy, but it will also not replace medical diagnosis and treatment. Reiki simply allows a state of balance and peace which allows healing energies to flow.

OUR REIKI SESSION
A Reiki session is not a time to focus on your injury or to talk / think about your worries, fears or anger.
It is a one hour break from all that.
Relax with a clear mind, just for the moment. There is nothing you have to fear or to worry about right now.
Think back to a time when you we so happy and so care free that you could feel it glow through your whole body.
Now remember the feeling without thinking about the events or circumstances attached to them; that feeling is what you want to remember and experience now. When you are experiencing that feeling, you are in a place where you can heal anything; where you can do anything.
When receiving a Reiki session, you lay on a massage table, fully dressed in loose comfortable clothing. The Practitioner(s) places their hands on or near your body (physical contact is not necessary) and allows the Reiki energy to flow.
Reiki is not a technique or a method, it just is. It is not given, it is shared. It does not come from the Practitioner, but through them. Reiki has its own intelligence and "knows" where it is needed.
It is simple, yet extremely profound.

ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY
Dr. Usui taught that in order for the Reiki Healing Energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for his/her healing and take an active part in it.
This includes an active commitment to improve oneself for it (The Reiki Healing) to be a complete system.
INITIAL SESSION FEES
Your fist session is usually a three-part treatment consisting of a 90 minute session, a one hour session, and a final one hour session. Each of these sessions involves explanations, treatment and further study information or practice exercises.
